Jack's Resort on the Buriram Phuttaisong Highway 2074 near Ruangsangthai has rooms available. Contact Jack himself or book through Agoda. It is not to be confused with the Best Western, yet the drive to the Racetrack is not out of line. It is does offer nighttime activities which may or may not be appropriate for expats. Jack is in the hardware store 7 days a week buying items to repair and improve the hotel.

Interesting that you say Jack's has rooms available. I tried to book there for a friend from KhonKaen about 3 weeks ago and it said he was full. In fact every place I tried within a 40kms radius was booked. In the end, by complete fluke, we found someone that wanted to rent their house out as they were fleeing Buriram for that weekend as their house is near to the track and they are not interested in motor racing.

You could try this place, about 10km from the circuit rear gate located in Sawai Chik off the 226
I drive past it each week and looks OK but don't expect much in the way of nightlife. Unaware if English spoken.

Jack was just in Ruangsangthai. On Agoda his resort is not spelled in English how the resort is spelled on the sign. I had Thai staff search for his resort in Thai for the Moto GP race dates. Jack swears he is not sold out. However only the " Buriram Moto GP Campsite" tents show up for dates selected. Agoda might not really be accurate on available rooms. Or Jack's staff might have a communication issue with Agoda.  He will today attempt to see his hotel name spelled correct on Agoda. Some one is cheeky by renting very basic tents for 1600 baht a night.

Each booking company be it Agoda, Booking.com or others has a room quota often 2/3 rooms. When their quota is sold, it does not mean the hotel/resort is full. Look at other booking sites or call the place direct.

A friend of mine came down from Udorn a few weeks back. He spent 3 days driving around, with his wife for reading signs and talking to people, looking for somewhere to stay for that weekend.

Upto and including Nang Rong, Prakhonchai and Surin, out to Puttaisong and Satuek every resort they found was booked. They did find some places in Korat but obviously too far.

There were a couple of places available that he turned down as the beds were not up to his standard and there were only cold showers.

@ garym1959 what are your expectations? I know of a couple of quiet places not far away. There will be zero nightlife, other tahn some cold Chang and Leo in the corner shop fridge. Not much food either but only 10kms (ish) from town and only 6kms from Track. I'll take a look sometime in the next couple of days.

Jack is sold out two days of the Moto GP and has rooms on 2 days. Below is his reply to a potential guest:   "Agoda was having some "tech" problems. I have good and bad news for you. We are full on 4th and the 6th. We have rooms on the 5th and 7th, you can go onto Agoda and book those days, and hope for someone to cancel. I know that is not what you want to hear,
I'm sorry that I could not do better for you.

Jack"

Tada condotel May have rooms especially the new one. If my 2 bedroom /2 bath condo with hot showers and cold aircon does not sell by then I may consider renting it but it won?t be cheap.
