Where would be the best shop in Buriram to buy good TV's without  inflated prices?

We've bought several at Home Pro when they go on special, plus they have a good selection.

Buriram Supply. Left had side of the road, just past Taweegit Supercentre, as you are heading towards Buriram from your direction, Tassie.

I was in there today buying a fridge. I looked at the TVs while I was waiting. Very good selection. They also deliver same day. Also, as a specialist electronics outlet, they have a very good after sales service if things go wrong. I would be reluctant to buy something like a TV from a shopping centre or homeware store as the after sales service are often not as good.

Many stories of people having to send their faulty goods to Bangkok for repair as the store were not interested.

Buriram Supply will help with after sales problems.

FYI. If you were to buy an LG TV they do have a service centre in Buriram. We had one that broke and the guy came out the day we called.
It was the back light that had gone so wasn't worth the cost of repairing and because of that experience I wouldn't personally buy LG again however I know many people who have then and haven't had any problems.

Thanks to all those with advice.
I went to the Buriram Supplies Electronic store just past Taweegit Supercentre  and bought 3 LG TV's this morning.  They were on special and I was quite taken aback at the interior of the building and the service.  This shop  has the most white goods I have seen in Buriram.  Very impressed am I, lets hope the TV'S are as good.
Regards

Hi Ray,
Glad you got a good deal. I think LGs are fine and I was just unlucky.

Got my tv at the big box store in the Mall of course the day before this post started. Got a fridge too. Negotiated a better price than the stand alone big box stores with free delivery. Free blue ray player. However delivery means drop at your door step. No setup. I?ll try Buriram supply next time to see if they are competitive.

I bought a LG 53 smart TV from Buriram Supplies last year for a good price with 12 months LG warranty. After 9 months the mother board went so I took the TV back for a warranty repair. The boss told me he would send the TV to LG in Bangkok for repair and that it would take about 3 weeks. After 3 weeks my wife contacted the seller and was informed that LG had run out of the spare parts and would keep us advised. 8 weeks later I got fed up so I went with my wife to the store. The lady was very helpful and told us that they still had the TV and that it had not been repaired and had not been sent to Bangkok. We were informed that they had sent the TV to a local repairer who told them that it needed a specialist LG person to fix it. Well, the steam was coming out of my ears and my wife( a non confrontational Thai) was really letting the lady have a broadside. After a heated few minutes the lady made a call to a repair man in Korat who came to Buriram the next day and, would you believe it, the repair took 10 minutes and I got my TV back. What happens with locally owned provincial stores is that they purchase on block outdated models at reduced prices from the manufactures with no warranty, albeit they tell you that you have a year.

Many thanks secosteve.  Many Thaiand businesses are scam artists.  I hope I don't come across the same problems as you experienced with your LG.

Let's face it, everything you buy here is bought on hope, After sales service forget. We are on our third rice cooker in a year.   This place is a joke,  they just don't get it.
Cook on charcoal or gas,  it's reliable.

You have obviously had bad luck. I have, with 1 exception, found products to be very good and after sales service good too.

I do not think that this company scams, at the end of the day I got my TV back working, it is just the Thai way of dealing with issues. It is a thing we expats have to accept, it is not the norm it is Thai. As farrangs we have  little moan but that is what we do best.
