Nokair screw up.
« on: August 20, 2016, 08:25:43 AM »
Despite my offering to take a guest here to Mongkhut travel OR the airport today, (AND trying to get him to take Nakhonchai Air) he tried to book a ticket to Bangkok for Monday. He used a drop down menu to select Bangkok and the confirmation came back as destination Chiang Mai. Nokair doesn't answer emails, of course.
He can't contact his bank for some reason to cancel (phone number not accessible)
So, question: what time would he have to get to Buriram airport if he were willing to pay cash for the morning flight on Monday?
I'm wondering what went wrong? Or would it be better to drive to the airport today to try to sort things out?

Personally I would go and try to get something sorted today. The on the day price may well be higher than the two days out price. He may get lucky and be able to get the ticket changed (for a fee) for correct destination. All depends on their attitude towards customer service.

I tried to book a ticket for a guy on Nok Air on-line, but he couldn't provide correct credit card data, when he finally got it right I could not determine if the ticket was actually booked or timed out (he gave me his wrong email address also).  I told him his best bet was to go to the airport.

He did, turns out the flight was not booked on line, so he booked it there, and got a lower price than the website.

So I recommend a trip to the airport.   BTW, the NOK Air office in Buriram City (adjacent to the Thanachart Bank) is not really a Nok Air office, when I tried to book with them they would not give any discounts.

Why not call them ?

http://nokair.com/content/en/nok-care/contact-nok.aspx

When I had a problem with Nok Air, I called them and the problem was always resolved by them very easily.

Emails ? Send Many, even send Line, and never a reply back

Thanks guys. My friend went to Mongkuts and bought a new ticket, no refund according to an unpleasant woman we eventually managed to contact at the airport.
Nokair customer 'service' was unreachable.

There may be a problem with luggage unless you tell them you are only going to BKK.

Taking them down to the airport this afternoon, I am expecting my wife and her daughter to have 'a serious discussion' with the lady at the desk that is convinced that the customer is always wrong. They both are capable of making the security alarms go off by power of voice if necessary. Anyone want a left over ticket to Chiang mai?
