The removal of the traffic cones would be an improvement

Something I find strange here is that when the larger developments like Robinsons are approved, there is no inclusion of access and egress traffic management in the planning approval. The costs of the above road alterations should be included in and provided by the developer. The new Global house is another example of this. There was plenty of space to include proper lanes but was completely ignored. A ton of money seems to be spent on fancy landscaping (Robinsons particularly) whilst basic safety requirements are ignored. I do realise that 'This is Thailand' but basis like this really aren't that difficult and it's not as if the Buriram City administration would have to pay.
Do the Buriram City Planners think of this and ignore it or do they just not think of it?

There seem to be very few qualified traffic engineers in Thailand. The attitude is 'be careful, if anything happens, it will be your fault'. I designed a two bypasses in the UK before I threw it in, and the amount of consultation with the police, locals, local government and of projected building schemes took up about 90% of the time.
