I also think the Big C breads not bad. We buy the sour dough and the French Country. Both very good IMO. You do have to go in the morning though. Usually all gone by 1 pm.

Have not tried the sour dough, but by the time I get home the French style bread is like chewing leather. It just ain't right. Probably be the kind of flour they use. Must be the same stuff my local Tesco and Morrisons use back in the UK as that's shite to.

Last week we were at big C and I got a loaf of Country Sour while it was still warm on the cart.  And when I got home it was still warm.  I sliced off an end smeared with butter, it was very good eating, so I had another piece.

Sometimes you get lucky.  However I have been at Big C in the afternoon and Country Sour was rock hard, I did not buy.

Every village? Wow. That must mean there are over 500000 French bakeries in Cambodia.

No need to travel anywhere really.

As already posted, Nookie delivers to Buriram. Very good bread too. He also has bread rolls for putting burgers in.

TWO OLD AD GUYS, ONE 70 AND ONE 75, WERE SITTING ON A PARK BENCH ONE
MORNING.

THE 75-YEAR-OLD HAD JUST FINISHED HIS MORNING JOG AND WASN'T EVEN
SHORT OF BREATH.

THE 70-YEAR-OLD WAS AMAZED AT THE GUY'S STAMINA AND ASKED HIM WHAT HE
DID TO HAVE SO MUCH ENERGY.

THE 75-YEAR-OLD SAID, "WELL, I EAT RYE BREAD EVERY DAY. IT KEEPS YOUR
ENERGY LEVEL HIGH AND YOU'LL HAVE GREAT STAMINA WITH THE LADIES."

SO, ON THE WAY HOME THE 70-YEAR-OLD STOPPED AT THE BAKERY. AS HE WAS
LOOKING AROUND, THE SALESLADY ASKED IF HE NEEDED ANY HELP.

HE SAID, "DO YOU HAVE ANY RYE BREAD?"

SHE SAID, "YES, THERE'S A WHOLE SHELF OF IT. WOULD YOU LIKE SOME?"

HE SAID, "I WANT FIVE LOAVES."

SHE SAID, "MY GOODNESS, FIVE LOAVES! BY THE TIME YOU GET TO THE 3RD
LOAF, IT'LL BE HARD."

HE REPLIED, "I CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYBODY KNOWS ABOUT THIS SHIT BUT ME."
