Honda big bike service in Buriram?
« on: October 26, 2015, 08:24:29 PM »
Hi, recently bought the Honda 500 CBX in Korat.
Had to do the first service there , but now the second one is coming (6000km) and i do not really feel like driving to Korat everytime the bike needs service or whatever.

But i do want the bike to be professionally serviced and in the right way according to the Honda guidlines.(parts ,points of attention etc.).

Is there a (real) shop in Buriram that can do this? i am not sure where to go...don't want to let just anybody ,claiming to be a mechanic, touch it.

oh and maybe someone has an insight on Honda planning a shop in Buriram??

BRY Honda has a big bike dealership & workshop in Mueang Buriram.

Open the attached map of Buriram. "B.R.Y. Headquarters" is clearly marked in blue text near the top right of map

BRY Honda in Buriram are not a "Big Bike" franchise. (Bigwing)

They sell and service bikes up to 300 cc.

Unless their service department has changed dramatically in the last couple of years I wouldn't take a pushbike to them.

Honda wave 110cc - first service - came back with over inflated tires /  chain with NO slack / No back brakes and only 3/4 full of oil .....

Other people have had no (known) problems there.

If you are not concerned with your service warranty, or it has run out ............

Try the KTM shop aka RK Rider shop on the 218 Road heading to Big C from town.

Just past Wat Sawang Arom and on the same side of the road. Almost under the overhead walkway.

Guy who owns it is "Top" speaks perfect English.

https://www.facebook.com/KtmBuriram  will give you more info.

Just play safe and drive to the dealer in Korat, it gives you the extra opportunity of a nice trip on your own.

Yeah. i have no doubts about the skills of the guys at the KTM store, but am not sure if they are aware of all the maintenance items of this one.
Was hoping another shop would oversee the official Honda service etc.  in Buriram
Korat seems to be the only option then

Would be logical i guess, that Honda will open a store in Buriram in the near future.

Jeroen .... from memory the 6K service for the 500X is pretty basic stuff.

I don't even think there is an oil / filter change at that one.

Chain - check and lube

Inspect brake fluid and pad wear

check clutch

pretty sure Top (KTM) can handle that.

On kumong road near the day market close to the 7-11 there is a big bike repair shop. The young man there speaks English and is quite helpful. Since it's just a checkup you might want to swing by.  The shop has only a small sign under the eve that reads "big bike. "
