Are the tickets going to cost the same as in Pattaya?  ฿1500 for non Thai nationals,  ฿650 with ID,  ฿200 for kids (http://www.splashdownwaterparkpattaya.com/tickets.html ). Looks like a  ฿2000 day out with food and transport.

I don't know what their pricing policy will be as it hasn't be advertised yet [to my knowledge ] but I can't see their prices being anywhere near to the ones you have guess quoted, shouldn't you just wait and see before you start putting a downer on the place before it is even opened.  ::)
But I'm sure those with children and that aren't affraid to put their hands in their pockets, then it could be an extra option for a special day out like for a birthday or for doing well at school. For those on a budget their is alway the Village pond and an old car inner-tube   :)

Going to a place that will cost me  ฿2000 a throw twice a year would pay for a trip to Rayong. Anyway, who is putting a downer on the place, I am merely saying that if they charge those kind of prices then I won't be going. 'Afraid to put their hands in their pockets'. great comment, I'm not afraid to put my hands in my pockets as there is nothing in there.
