Have a drive around the city suburbs .. Sometimes they have a FOr Rent signing on the gate.. It's usually in Thai though so take your wife.. Stay clear of farang houses as most of them still think they are in pattaya and will charge outrageous prices for Rent.. I rented a 3 bed bungalow off a Thai Teacher.. Had Aircon and it was only 6000 baht per month.. Lived there for 3 years with no problems.. Goodluck

There are many appartments and houses for rent in Buriram. Price starting at 3000 thb. Depends on what you want. Let your gf look around and ask for prices. Will be cheaper.

We aren't looking for a house to rent but for this kind of thing my wife asks around in the central market. I stay discretely out of view.

I know the market in the city (!) very well and I would say any decent place in central of the city prices start from 6000 baht and up.
Anything cheaper than this is considered low standard.
