That is very interesting GL ........

considering that the Immigration Chief (numero uno) was saying a few days ago that fingerprint scanners would NOT be in place until November this year !!!!!!

Not unless KCI and Chong Chom will be using this type ......

A few years ago, the Immigration visited all the farangs in Nong Ki area on 2 occasions & took your fingerprints.

A visit today to both Kapchoeng Immigration and Chong Chom border and NO fingerprinting being done.

As previously stated by GL .... border is open, but cars / pickups with border hoppers are being turned around.

Told to go and park down at the market and catch a motorcycle taxi back up to the border.

One for GL ..... is that a new boss at KCI? (female)

I went to KCI on Monday. The new supervisor, the woman sitting in the office at the desk furthest from the door, was starting. She wanted to know about how every thing is done. The guy dealing with my extension told me that she came from Chaiyapoom office. They don't deal so much with "farang" there. My case was the first of its kind that she had seen. So the officers told her everything that she need to know to sign it off.

They asked me twice if I was in a hurry and I politely said no. They were basically using my application as a case study, for 45 mins.

They all apologised about the delay when they had finished. No problem and we all said thank you and smiled.

I believe that if one behaves in an appropriate manner then that will be remembered next time. I also believe in the opposite. I don't think the guy that was after me will ever get what he wants after the way he acted.

No, not that one GL.

I have had dealings with her before when she was inside. Very helpful.

Starman got it right. The one who signs off on extensions etc etc,

I was there for a re-entry permit.

When it hit her desk I thought there was some problem as she (and another IO) was scrutinizing every stamp on every page.

I soon realized that he was explaining to her how it all works.

Even though I was only in there for 20 minuets the IO I was originally dealing with apologized three times for the delay.
