Yes it is the American in me.. we are very much straight forward and to the point.. As for why my wife has stayed with me for the last 40 years you'll have to ask her.. The only reason I asked the question,was to get different views,thats all.My wife is also a smart arse,AND a smart arse,but I wouldn't have it any other way,as for "my wife is my wife" comment,that's true,but there are differences in the way different races think and rationalise things.

That is very true.. Most of the time it works quite well because you both get a different view of things.. It's one of the things that's kept life interesting for my wife and I.. and yeah, my wife is a smart ass too.. Has to be because she's married to a smart ass.. But she's not only my wife she's my best friend as well..
