Farang suicide
« on: May 21, 2013, 10:27:35 PM »
Anybody got info about the 'suicide' of an English teacher living in Ban .(Talat Kwai?).. between Lamplaimat and Buriram? Found hung, a colleague from his school went to investigate and called the police. Younger wife with Thai husband, sounds like the usual story. Or is this just village gossip?
Sorry if I'm out of line on this.

OH if this it true I am so sorry to hear.  My TW tells me that this is so common an experience in Buriram, young Thai girl meets Farang, gets what she can from him, all the while she has Thai husband waiting to reap the benefits.  Recently Farang burned down the house when he found out his TGF had a Thai husband.

Farang beware.

The point is that he probably didn't commit suicide but was suicided.

Do you think people get suicided?

Did he run out of money?

OR, did he discover there was a Thai husband, was broke, and truly in love.  We may never know.

Unfortunately,Thai ladies having a husband is a common occurrence. In my wife's village there are a fair few cases of that sort of stuff going on.Farang comes to visit from overseas,Thai husband moves out and when Farang husband eventually goes back to his country, sure enough Thai husband moves back in.I think it's bloody disgraceful that they are fleecing these poor fellas.

well this is going nowhere....no confirmation of any death, and people up in arms about TW ripping farang off, since nobody has confirmed a death suicide or other it seems to be a link about paranoid rantings screwy

No paranoia, lived it myself.  Hope others learn from my mistakes.  That's the only reason for posting.  Living it really sucks.  Makes trusting that much more difficult.

Yes David, but has anyone confirmed a death....or was that just paranoia, like what has been said here a thousand times...only put it what you can afford to lose.....emotions included.  party15

Unfortunately, this story is true. The guy was teaching at "Mary Buriram." Nobody really knows why he did it.
