Have seen gherkins in taweekits in refrigerated section think they are pickled by the same farang who does the pâté, goulash etc.

Also fairly sure I have seen malt vinegar in there amongst the vinegars and olive oils.

Hope this helps ... On your own on the icing sugar!

MAKRO and Big C are your best bet. Not sure about Buriram for the gherkins.

Why worry about malt vinegar? The rice vinegar is great. Only about 60 baht for 5 litres in Makro. That is what I use for all of my pickles, which you can buy from me if you decide you don't want to do your own. character4.

Icing sugar is also available. There is a shop in Buriram that sells almost everything for baking.

Say you are facing Buriram Railway station, with the clock tower behind you. Turn right. Go straight ahead. You will pass a couple of pet shops and a couple of DIY/Paint shops. The bakery shop is just passed there on the right. It is only a small shop. It has a blue canopy.

Hope this helps. If not burirampieman.com maybe the answer. punk thumbup
