Growing Oyster Mushrooms / where to get rid of them ?
« on: April 04, 2013, 07:17:11 AM »
Looking to maybe grow some oyster mushrooms in the Lam Plai Mat / Chum Phuang / Buriram area.......and just wondering if anyone can recommend where to sell / get rid of them if I did?  Any information / recommendations about wholesalers or buyers would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid you'll have great difficulty ,,,its a complete 'closed shop'.....I didn't realize just how closed until I made enquires for exactly the same thing in Pattaya only a few weeks ago.

There is a guy in Sissaket that sells ready made boxes. Just take them home and water and take care of them. Here is a box that I bought nearly 3 weeks ago.

They are not oyster mushrooms though, I can't remember the name, but I will find out. They are a mushroom that is indigenous to India but can be grown in south east Asia. They are  popular in Philippines in particular.

My Buddha Starman, that picture is almost pornographic

Mikeh ... there is a very knowledgeable and helpful sub forum on Thai Visa called "Organic Farming, Smallholding and Kitchen Gardening" that probably could be of assistance.

Did you look at Thai Visa Forum "Organic Farming, Smallholding and Kitchen Gardening" ?

If you did, was it of any assistance?
