Don't try Paddys  very unfriendly wherever you come from
Oh deep joy, happy expats in abundance I see.....

Once I'm back in Buriram after work the first place I would visit is Paddy's. Good for a chat and goodprices. Always latest updates if your interested in football or any kind of sports. Nice place, Brian and Mam very friendly.  happybar

The greasy little man peering above his computer was everything but a friendly host to me and others who i speak toI didn't get a chance to meet Mam as only had one beer and left.
I think Buriram for the size of it is missing a truly international bar since the international bar closed all the other bars are just single country bars where the people just argue about soccer.

You must mean football? Soccer is only for American dudes, besides what do you expect to talk about in an Irish bar? I don't expect any owner to be a host when I'm out for a beer but to meet other customers for a chat.

The Irish Pub is so far the best. You can enjoy a drink nice and quiet compared to other places specially Coffee Connection.

The place should be a club, open for members only.

If you ever venture down to Prakhon Chai, try Dieter's. He has a bar and restaurant and is also a butcher so you can stock up on wurst etc. Really easy to find from Buriram -- follow the elephant's arse at the roundabout to Prakhon Chai. Straight through the first ( and only ) traffic lights, through the narrow main street and just where the road opens up to 4 lanes, there is a cross road. Turn right and Dieter's is about 100m on the left hand side. Look out for the very large concrete pig standing outside. He does close one day of the week ( monday I think but I'm not 100% sure ). His phone number is 0817092114 so you can call him first.

PS. Are you also known as Ueli or Julius ?

It is the second traffic lights from the Elephant's roundebout to Prakhon Chai, before the golden Buddha on the mountain is the first traffic light.
