" If a visitor applies for a visa at a Thai embassy, the documents will be forwarded to its Cambodian counterpart for approval, which will have the authority to reject the application, and vice versa. Also, visa fees for both countries will have to be paid. For instance, the Thai embassy will charge Bt1,000 for entry into Thailand and the tourist will have to pay the Cambodian visa fee upon arrival in that country and vice versa."

Looks like a double whammy.

Not only will tourists have to pay 1000bt for entry into Thailand, but they will have to pay the Cambodian visa fee upon entry into Cambodia.

What's different?  Everyone still has to pay! No freebies!

Clear as mud to me. As stated this is a joke...

The problem is with all rules and regulations, the people who dream them up, and then  put into effect never experience the situations first hand.

Can you imagine Yingluck or any of her hundreds of goons ever queuing up at Immigration in either country, and negotiating a $20 Cambodian visa fee when the mafia there want 1100bt! Of course not - they are all whisked through in their limousines!

They haven't got a clue what the 20million tourists have to face up to every year!

Speaking of a 20 dollar  visa fee. I'm waiting for Santa and his merry band of elves to show up at M&D Coffee.
