Water pumps-One pump or two?

One pump or two? Can anyone help regarding the installation of a well and tank water supply?  Currently I use two pumps,one for the well and one for the house water pressure.In reading some old blogs i noticed some say it can be done with only one pump.This would be great as I would only have to buy one new pump when they eventually die-Anytime soon I expect!-Cheers-

If you have a water tank then I think you will always need 2 pumps.A direct supply without a tank only needs 1

Thanks Nookie,Oh well,looks like just another item to add to the budget list-I was really hoping to spend it on something that I could enjoy more,like some good red wine-God i do miss that.

Or a direct supply from the mains only (no well) into tanks that can be isolated if needed or used injunction with or without the mains water supply will require only 1 pump and a shit load of pvc piping

I have well with a submersible pump thats been going now for at least 8 years with no problems. We use the water only for the garden but the pressure is enough to run an extensive sprinkler system throughout. We're lucky to have municipal water for house use.

The village supply is not so reliable the last few years hence the well & pump.The pressure is very good,in fact its rather too severe if you use the ass wash .

I my experience the municipal water is full of chemicals too.

I have one pump which pumps water from a 12 metre well. I ran all of the pvc piping myself. There are a total of 8 taps running off the same system. No tank, no problems.

Sounds like we need to visit Nookie if we need an enema!The thought alone makes my eyes water.-Unfortunately I am still waiting for village water,should be connected soon-then I can probably use one pump-need the tank at the moment-power keeps cutting out around here.
