Thai Noodles
« on: August 24, 2012, 09:11:40 PM »
hungry1 I have become a fan of Thai Noodles, my problem is that Thai's love to add sugar.  Half the noodles places reek of sugar.

There is a Noodle resturant at the entrance to the Buriram Bus Station that serves excellent noodles and the soup is very good.  I highly recommend it, they provide more meat than other places I have tried.  (And I do not have any financial interest in the place or know the people other than being a regular).

Yum Yum:

Great post. thumbup
We used to eat 200M down from there on Thanni road on the direction to jira road, on the left side there is a noodle shop near a phone shop. He is not very generous with the meat or anything else but its clean and tasty.

*I see the price up, when I first came to Buriram on 2004, a bowl of noodles were 15-20 Baht.
On 2011 it was 25-30 Baht.
2012: 30-40 Baht.

Ok, We can live with the price the problem is I am never really full after a noodle, after 2 hours I am hungry again!! slapfight

A lot of noodle places are still 25-35 baht, but they scrimp on noodles and extras.  When I go to this place I get the large bowl and have alway been full.  Lots of meat, noodles, and good portion of soup.

I like to have breakfast around 8-9 am which my TG normally does, but she wants to eat about noon.  When she feeds me and then a few hours later we go to this resturant I cannot finish all they provide.  But if we go and she hasn't fed me I only leave a few drops as the soup is very tasty.

Ate there again today.  My main problem with Thai Noodles is they add too much sugar, not usually an issue here.

I also don't like the sugar in my noodles. There is a little pork restaurant in Lahansai that has really delicious  pork noodles. The place is kinda busy most of the time, so don't so at lunch time because the service is kinda slow. The noodles are excellent. It is right on  Hwy 2120 about a block or so from where the road comes to a T in the middle of Lahansai.

Enjoy.
