hmmm so if the maximum fine for not reporting is "5000 bht" one has to ask the question is it worth just paying this fine and not for the fuel and shopping trip involved everytime i go which must come to more than this over a year
Or is this likely to be a fine levied for every report missed ? ie 15000 bht for three reports missed

yes one fine no matter how many reports missed ? or yes 5000 bht per report ?
because i assume if i report say 9 months late technically i have only missed 1 report as i wasnt asked to report again due to missing the first one (if that makes sense)

Quiet right gotlost, Richard Morris also heard about this "rumour" and popped the question and got told that that was a nono . Must be some troll that wants other foreigners to get into trouble .

Typical Belgian, jumping to conclusions  :P

I gave Richard the information that caused him to ask the question (a topic had been running on Thai Visa).

It matters not a jot to me personally, but I like to keep abreast of developments at KCI.

A few weeks ago I bumped into a Scottish gentleman at Coffee Corner. He happened to mention that he had done his annual retirement extension and had received four 90 day reporting slips in return for paying 2,000 Baht. He hadn't asked the question - I gathered it was something he had been offered.

Saw him again yesterday (ironically whilst I was with Richard) and he repeated what had happened. I suggested that no one believes this so he has offered to bring in his paperwork next week.

Croc - ask Richard if he knows of anyone else who has done this............................................

CO-CO..this is the only case from KCI that I have heard of but your the second person to mention it. I have had quite a few people tell me they have asked in KCI this same question and were told in no uncertain words NO.

Understand GL and I don't know what the circumstances were that caused this to be 'offered'.

I believe there are two people who have done this

I know someone that posts his passport to a visa agent in Pattaya who does his 90 day report for him and then posts it back posts it back...3 time for the year is just over 600 baht total ( including postage  )and on his 4th report he does his one year retirement extension. ( and he uses his Surin address )

Simple
