Police on Wednesday arrested one of the suspects wanted in connection with Saturday's three bomb attacks in the heart of Yala that killed 11 people and injured more than 100 others.

Police named the suspect as Anuwat Tohjae, is a 22-year-old villager from tambon Yupo in Yala's Muang district.

He was seen driving a car behind a pickup truck that had a 15kg bomb concealed in its gas cylinder, police said.

Anuwat denied that he was involved in the fatal bombings.
