Thanks Pichai.

I got one from Global in Khon Kaen. They have not had them for along time now. None in Buriram. If you can get another 2 dozen you should sell out again. Can you remember the price?

I will wait to see what Pichai comes up with.

He offers a good service. The first time I bought something from his family business was over 14 years ago.

Fair enough. There is some competition around and that is as it should be.

I plan on visiting the store tomorrow. Does anyone know if they carry any automotive tools?

While my Buriram Tool shop stocks some socket sets manufactured by Stanley, ACT, Fixman and King Tony you would not confuse these with Mac Tools or Snap On Tools. Auto Mac Power Tools sold in Thailand have no relationship with Mac Tools. In Buriram some of the Auto Parts Stores do stock automotive tools. There is a fine family owned competitor straight down Highway 2074 heading into Buriram from Ruangsangthai on the left side 1 1/2 blocks from the railroad tracks that has a wider selection of auto mechanics tools than I stock.  This store is just past a Dentist | Medical clinic and always has welding gas tanks in front of the store.  I did place a firm order with the Stanley Tools importer for several models of hand planers. I'll post photos when they arrive at our store. I am always open to suggestions of special order tools that more than one customer will buy.  The response to quality Stanley hand Planers at a fair price as been well received. Significantly easier to find that TORX screws in Thailand.

Ok, you can stop writing about the great Torx screws affair. I have shown Thais how you can screw directly into hard tropical woods without preboring and they still don't believe it, I recently went so far as to throw a handful of Thaiwasadu supplied screws away in front of a worker (lost in the grass now) and did eventually get him to use Torx screws. A lost cause in Thailand, and a lot of other countries also. I don't regret having ordered them from Switzerland, expensive as it was.

Weight is getting very close already; what size are you wanting?  Had planned on bringing some of my 18V Dewalt tools (minus the batteries), but, might not be able to squeeze them in; thinking about re-organizing the carry-ons so more non-cabin stuff can be in checked.

Saturday a full truck load of Makita and Maktec Tools arrived at my tool shop in Buriram. While I do not currently have every single model of Makita Tools that has been imported into Thailand,  I have deep stock of every popular selling Makita or Maktec Power Tool at my main store on the Buriram - Phuthaisong Highway 2074.  I will gladly special order any Makita or Maktec Tool that is "on the ground" in Thailand for Buriram tool customers. I do in fact have in stock every model of Maktec Tools or Makita Tools that are manufactured in the Makita Tool assembly plant located in Thailand.

Bob & Mr Pichai,
Last year there was a request and subsequent hunt for Torx Screws. Do you stock them now?
