yes I looked at these filters but forgot to ask about the cost of replacement filters. Do you think they remove pesticide and herbicide residuals? or are you filtering roof water? I don't know anything about water filters really, except that the regular replacement of the cartridges is a financial pain. Please tell me.
I don't think you can brew beer at high temperatures (in the middle ages in England it was a winter occupation). So I have to look at air conditioning the beer shed!
At the moment we are insulating the roof before the rain starts (had to get rid of a colony of wild bees that had been nesting there for 10 years - nobody ever got stung so I feel a bit guilty about it) but I must start thinking about the water, the dreaded cesspit and air conditioning soon.

The final result is 100% pure water that is even magnetised, okay the ceramic filters cost about 2.800 a piece to replace and the carbon around 6.500 a piece. But if you clean your machine and filters on a daily basis you get at least twice or three times the lifetime out of it. When I started whith this machine about 14 months ago, about five other popped up in the village but most off them went 'bust' after a few weeks ... you know the thai way of maintenance = none .. they all thought that these machines were pure money makers ... and now they all come to the house of the farang because they know now that I take proper care off the machine and they quality is stable.

Perfect water available at my place in Lahansai. I've got a reverse osmosis watermachine with 11 filters : ceramic filters, carbon filters. Only 1 baht per liter.

What did it cost mate ?

The machine plus the extra tank plus the extra pump : 65.000 baht .... then the regural filter change on a montly basis ... it will "just" break even if you do it properly ... it is really no moneymaker ... just a service to society ...

Exactly Alan, I've been here for about 9 years full time and 99 % of the foreigners I meet are so cheap charlies that I now try to avoid them as much as possible. They are all over my place for free advice, free phonecalls, free faxes and if possible free transportation to
Buriram/Surin/Korat-immigration and city/Pattaya/Airport but if you just ask them a 'fair' participation in fuel costs they stand on their hind legs as if I'm trying to steal from them.
So as from now on : no free advice anymore, 500 baht for an advice and for transportation 10 baht a click plus a minimum of 3.000 baht for the day.

I've never been more bussy since I applied this rule ... and a whole different kind of foreigners : mostly scandinavian who appreciate good service in decent transportation.
