Two suns!!!!!!!!
« on: January 19, 2012, 08:20:45 AM »
Earth could be getting a second sun, at least temporarily.

Dr. Brad Carter, Senior Lecturer of Physics at the University of Southern Queensland, outlined the scenario to news.com.au. Betelgeuse, one of the night sky's brightest stars, is losing mass, indicating it is collapsing. It could run out of fuel and go super-nova at any time.

When that happens, for at least a few weeks, we'd see a second sun, Carter says. There may also be no night during that timeframe.

The Star Wars-esque scenario could happen by 2012, Carter says... or it could take longer. The explosion could also cause a neutron star or result in the formation of a black hole 1300 light years from Earth, reports news.com.au.

But doomsday sayers should be careful about speculation on this one. If the star does go super-nova, Earth will be showered with harmless particles, according to Carter. "They will flood through the Earth and bizarrely enough, even though the supernova we see visually will light up the night sky, 99 per cent of the energy in the supernova is released in these particles that will come through our bodies and through the Earth with absolutely no harm whatsoever," he told news.com.au.

In fact, a neutrino shower could be beneficial to Earth. According to Carter this "star stuff" makes up the universe. "It literally makes things like gold, silver - all the heavy elements - even things like uranium....a star like Betelgeuse is instantly forming for us all sorts of heavy elements and atoms that our own Earth and our own bodies have from long past supernovi," said Carter.

Malachi 4:1and 2.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Look out: Betelgeuse, which is in the Orion constellation, is set to blow itself into oblivion - which will give the effect of two suns in the sky for us on Earth

CANDY !!!
I have been watching this for a couple of months now and it is mental that it is one of Orions stars doing this.
To all the others Orion is the Greek name for Osiris the  Egyptian god. Anyway without writing a essay that will bore you all to death, There are many who believe that the evidence of the location and setting out of the pyramids all point to one date 21/12/2012. And for over fifteen years I have been reading about this and waiting for something to happen this year and BOOM !!! Osiris's right hand is exploding !!! seems too much for a coincidence to me.
Nature has a way of sorting everything out to create harmony for life, weather we will like it or not. And I feel that we knew this many years ago and have forgotten the real values of life, even with all the clues being left for us by our ancestors.
How would we today leave clues for our people thousands of years in the future, when all languages and records have been lost?
I would use ever lasting monuments with precise mathematics and setting out points and dates ( The position of the stars at a certain date )
These are things in nature that can be relied upon, it just needs the decoding to be taken seriously and we should listen.
Millions of people believe in God and are not thought to be crazy, but when scientists and astronomers break these codes they are dismissed as nutters.
Why did the ancients spend so much time building these monuments in the image of the specific stars and build shafts in them pointing to them at specific dates if not to tell us something, and guess what? Things have started up ther ewhen and where they said they would thousands of years ago.
Anyway went on one there a bit.

Why didn't they leave an inscription in hieroglyphics?  These were certainly available when the Giza pyramids were built.

Shades of Immanuel Velikovsky and Erik von Daniken!

Yes I see where your coming from but ,
a) There is also no hieroglyphics telling us who built them just an assumption that they were built at the same time as the sphinx was carved ( which has a whole other road to travel) hence It is generally accepted that the Sphinx was built about 2500 BC by Pharaoh Khafra only because it has a slight resemblance to other carving of him wearing a headdress .No recorded text that he built it.
b) The pyramids were built before hieroglyphics
c)We only cracked the code of hieroglyphics 100 years ago with the help of the Rosetta stone and that was luck. perhaps they used the only language they knew would still exist in the future. Maths, science and astronomy.

c)We only cracked the code of hieroglyphics 100 years ago with the help of the Rosetta stone and that was luck. perhaps they used the only language they knew would still exist in the future. Maths, science and astronomy.

1.  The earliest hieroglyphics are pre-dynastic.
2.  There's plenty of archaeological evidence that the whole Giza pyramid complex, including the Sphinx, was built by Fourth Dynasty Pharaohs (2600-2500 B.C.)
3.  The date when hieroglyphics were deciphered (by luck, indeed) was about 1830.... but has
nothing whatsoever to do with the meaning, or otherwise, of the pyramids.

This is a classic case of a theory being created first, and evidence supposedly to support it being subsequently adduced from all over the place;  anything which can be made to fit is accepted, anything which won 't is quietly laid aside.

There is no evidence that Atlantis was ever more than a fable;  where was it?

There is no evidence that 'flying saucers have landed', though many people would like to claim they have seen them.

The mathematical and scientific skills which you attribute to the pyramid-builders existed without a complex writing-system?  Pull the other one, Jon.

But all the theorising is fun, so long as you don't take it too seriously.  Come 20.12, you can have a good laugh at me if I'm wrong!

If you are wrong I don't think there will be an awful lot of laughing going on.
But lets hope you are.   thumbup
