Can anyone tell me the school holiday times for Lahan Sai School?  The smaller one, NOT the one near the hospital.

Sorry,  I must be slow this morning.  From your reply I assume that there are only single days and long weekend holidays in October.  You say the Thai schools go back for the second semestre at the beginning of November.  Apart from the days you quote, are the children at school in October and if so how can they "go back for the second semestre" if they have not been on holiday?
To simplify, can you tell me the long holidays for summer and winter?

We will have to wait for other members to answer on the exact dates or alternatively ask your Thai girlfriend/wife.

Good luck. sawadi

Gringo,   May I be more specific than anything posted above

Primary and secondary schools do not necessarily have holidays at precisely the same times. Often the senior schools finish earlier and re-open earlier.

In general senior schools are closed throughout most of March and April re-opening in early May. Primary schools often continue throughout most of March, re-opening mid May.

All schools seem to close in October, senior ones often for the whole month and primaries for the latter 3 weeks, all re-opening at the beginning of November.

Where relevant you should ask your school for specific  dates.

Thank you Nick.  The whole matter is becomming clearer although I still haven't been able to contact San Sook school.  Why don't they have a web site where they can post info, or at least an answer machine to say the school is closed?  Either in Thai or English shouldn't be that difficult as they have an English Language programme !!!!  Do they ever think outside their box?   My nipper was previously at a school where there was almost too much information, but then it was run by English or English educated staff.  If I sent him to this school, would I ever see him again?  Visions of him dissapearing into the mist of non-information.  Anyone remember "The Prisoner"?

The Prisoner. Aah. Patrick McGoohan. You must be of a similar vintage to me Gringo.

And NO, CoCo. It is not true that nobody could be as old as me!   You'll be antique one day!
