Other teams in Thai football
« on: August 09, 2011, 10:10:35 AM »
I think it might be interesting, for all you soccer fans out there, to give your views and opinions on other teams in the Thai Premier League and lower divisions.I think a new topic is necessary as then it won't interfere with pinned topics.

I myself like to see Sisaget and Khon Gen in the TPL as they are from Isaan and have good followings .Bangkok Glass and Thai Port, in the big mango, are teams I enjoy watching.Great fans too.

Chonburi announce that there are no plans to increase the capacity of the home stadium despite calls from fans who are often unable to watch the match live due to the limited capacity.

Ahead of this weekends big match in Chonburi when the current number 2 club in Thailand face the leaders, Buriram PEA fans are once again asking for an increase to the stadiums capacity. The current capacity of the newly renovated Chonburi stadium is just 8,200 which reportedly only took 3 hours to sell out one week in advance of the big match, however club officials claim that at present there are no plans of expansion as the stadium boasts an intimate atmosphere and meets all AFC standards. They also mentioned that this issue only arises when a major fixture is scheduled at the stadium.

Only 8,200 for a TPL stadium.Ridiculous.Last year when we ,P.E.A.,went to Chonburi there were at least 2,000 Buriram fans. This Saturday coming will be the same.

Insert comma after P.E.A..

This is the kind of sneaky trick that anti P.E.A. writers use.If the comma is not there it states Buriram fans are asking for the increase.

My list of TPL clubs would be as follows,

1 Buriram PEA
2 Thai Port
3 Bangkok Glass (good football)
4 Sisaket (good support)
5 Chiang Rai (good support)
6 BEC Tero
7 Osotospa
8 Police
9 Army
10 Sri Racha
11 Khon Kaen (poor ground)
12 Samut Songkran (poor ground)
13 Chonburi  (would be a lot higher but for flare throwing last season)
15 Navy (poor ground)
16 Pattaya  (would be higher but for a German thug)
17 Muang Thong (would be higher but for there attitude)
18 TTM (would be higher but for the negative football played this season)

I reckon there's a few more commas missing, plus a full-stop and an apostrophe. Those sneaky b***ards have really got it in for P.E.A. ::)

On the football, I agree it's strange for a successful club with good support to build such a stadium smaller than their typical attendance.

Point taken.But I am not a journalist/writer for a web site.

Last year, when the two sides met in Chonburi, there were scores of Chonburi and Buriram fans trying to get tickets at the stadium before the game.Maybe a Chonburi supporter could enlighten us more on the sitution.

P.S. Is full stop hyphenated?.

I'm not criticising candy's grammar, just pointing out there were half a dozen other punctuation errors in the article, and that it's extremely thin-skinned to take one mistake and assume it's intended as a slight on PEA. I have a funny feeling fullstop might even be one word. ;)

jockey, I feel the same way; I'm extremely grateful I'm not the same as you

candy, wouldn't Buriram fans already know if they'd sold out their allocation before they went down? I know there'd be locally based fans, but why would they turn up knowing they'd be in a Chonburi zone?

If people couldn't get in last year, then there'll be chaos this week, as I'm sure the new ground is smaller.

Candy
I do not have a soft spot for Muang Thong after the insults that were chucked at us when we were having a beer on there so called 'hallowed ground' by the Ultras telling us that our mothers fcuked dogs.
This was the same day that we were alledged to be chasing a Pattaya United fan around,Well that was reported on another web site.
