Libya - is it only me?
« on: March 20, 2011, 07:38:03 PM »
Most of the day I've been watching the news about the events in Libya.

I honestly wonder about the sanity of our leaders.

Recently we've had the cock up in Iraq, followed by the balls up in Afghanistan and now we want to do it again in Libya.

FFS why?

Let the fuzzy wuzzies sort themselves out, because we will get no thanks just more grief from the loony ragheads.

The arseholes pontificating about wanting to protect the poor civilians of Libya were just a month or so back trying to sell Ghadafi military hardware.

The british prime minister cameron, who presides over a military that don't have enough aircraft to fill an aircraft carrier without borrowing from the bloody french, should realise that the UK is no longer the world's policeman.

Bewildered of Buriram.....

Yes Joe....nobody wanted to go in and stop the genocide in Darfur ,help the Burmese people against the Military Junta  or stop the people starving in North Korea but to shoot a few rampaging protesters as they did here in Thailand then the West must stop it,of course. It wouldn't be that Libya has loads of Oil in it's back yard,is it ???

First The Libyan Rebels rejected our help and now as one might expect they now want help as they are losing and just as predictably the Arab world asks the West to intervene to save them getting their hands dirty. So if the West sorts this out the Arab world will then blame the west for any of the inevitable innocent casualties of war.!!!

BTW ....the Sunderland v Liverpool game has just started  party4

Its not their sanity I worry about its the hypocracy and the fact they feed us the story as if we are morons !!!
Regime change ? No never.
We just want to prevent civilian casulties. We can't have a dictator killing his own people.
We never support terrorists.
We didn't sell arms, it was just crowd control equipment.
The BBC is independent and only reports facts.

I dispair .......... and add Tibet, Zimbabwi, Saudi etc to the list if you are so commited to the fight. SNAFU

The Libyan people have had 40 years in which to rid themselves of Gadaffi, but choose now as they are jumping on the recent demonstrtion bandwagon,

This is purely an internal affair - let them sort it out themselves, and if they all kill each other -so be it!

The Arab League should be the sorting this out Libya is part of the Arab League.

Some of the countries in the Arab League spend billions on arms every year and have modern up to date planes and equipment they probably have more planes than the European countries certainly more than enough to do the job.

From what I have read of the situation the Arab League who supported armed intervention and a no fly zone are now criticizing it.

Surprising how the politicians parasites say there no money to build new hospitals or schools but they can always find the money to go to war and kill people.
