My bet is South Africa, with Australia as a dark horse;  I don't think India have the bowling, though it's true they know the pitches well.  My hope is for Sri Lanka to win, with Bangladesh as a real outsider.

England?  Well, good luck, but they have to shake off their post-Ashes torpor.

With batting like that, who needs bowlers?  As I write, Kenya struggling at 62-6.

Ever heard of a metaphor, Jimbo?  In case you hadn't realised, "stick to" is another metaphor.

After which silly interruption, can we get back to Cricket?

Good win for Sri Lanka... everything seems to be going according to expectations.  Now let's see if Zimbabwe can spring a surprise against Australia!

I don't know about "pundits", but try telling that to Boycott!  In fact, Haroon Lorgat (if I've spelt him right), President of the ICC, said the future of the game lay with 20/20. Heaven help the game if he's right!  20/20 cannot develop batting and bowling skills, both of which need a longer format... and without such development, 20/20 will degenerate into a clone of baseball.

I have to agree with you 100%....Like you say if it does happen then there is no future for the game as we know it.

what you say i fear is true.I like all forms of the game.........but when i watch live 20/20 games at different grounds the crowds are there unlike the county championship games whereby there are so few people.Test cricket is different at least for now as most games are sell outs or there abouts.A lot depends on the spectators appreciation of the finer points of the game...........being able the batthrough long periods.......witness tussles between batsmen and bowlers when few runs are scored..etc the popularity of the cross bat slog seems to be winning with the 20/20 format. Wonder what Mr Boycott would have to say on the matter
