If your talking about 90 day reporting where you just fill in  TM47...you can do this 2 weeks before or 1 week after the date in your passport. This can be done on 8th November 2011. At Sri Narong conference room, Surin city hall if the days fit or at Chom Cheong at any time. You only have to go to Korat to renew you extension to say.The bi-monthly Immigration visits to Buriram and Surin finish in December ,the last one being in Buriram  :)

Reading this Topic with intrest as I am due to re-start the yearly extensions after an 18 months hiatus in Australia.

Called Korat Immigration yesterday to see what day in Febuary 2012 they would be visiting Buriram.

I was told that "No more Mobile service for Buriram" !!!!!

The Lady I spoke to had a good grasp of English and I doubt anything was lost in translation?

Anyone else heard of the discontinuation of this service ???

Yes, the mobile unit has now come to an end.

Ain't that a shame?
The good intended experiment wasn't working, I guess.

We are all highly indebted to Jetmickey for this information. What would we do without the likes of him?

I hear that Kap Chong office is re-opening

Some of us are stilled baffled as to the reasons that this [Kap Choeng] office closed - they were just refurbishing the whole complex and than shut the doors.

Hypothetically, would they chose to have two offices down there [Chong Chom & Kap Choeng], if the rumormill proved itself true?

The Chong Chom border crossing does not have a full service immigration office. The small office there is only for 90 day reporting. All other business has to be done in Korat. As for moving back to KC as of this pass November i would say that is a rumor. Last time I was in KC BUT times do change. My wife's family lives in KC and we do have interest there. I'm trying my best to get back down to the area. If they were to reopen the office in KC it would be great for us but bad for Korat.

Why "bad for Korat", gotlost?  It wouldn't hurt Korat at all, as they'd still have the office at Dan Kwian.  But I doubt whether it will happen.
