Today 4 traffic police borders between Nang Rong-Chok Chai.  gossip1

1st one stopped me said I was speeding, thought, ha maybe he really had some police report him few km's before I arrived his spot.

2nd border, same claim. I drove away.

3rd border, same. I laughed I drove away.  brick1

Whats going on??   loco

4th border, they just waived me.  redman

My advice, ask for evidence or smile and tell him you are in hurry for your mia noy (some farang told me this excuse always helping him to get away without paying..  hahaha )

The first 2 stops you had ARE speed traps,,,they DO HAVE speed cameras, which you pass about a km before you get stopped.
The 3rd & 4th are checkpoints, they are both manned by municipal police not highway police.Nowadays they are there on most days, although the speed trap between Nang Rong -Nong Ki does vary as to its exact location by a few km's.Ifyou remember I did warn board readers of the trap between Nang Rong & Nong Ki a few times several months ago too!!!!!!!

I think you're going a little over the top..........If you do get stopped for speeding its only going to cost you 200 baht......The police speedtraps are nearly always in the same place too,so you just have to lift your foot off the throttle for a few km's every so often

I hand them my license with 100 baht and they give me license back and say have a nice day.  bananadance

NEW TACTICS EMPLOYED BY HIGHWAY POLICE ON HIGHWAY 24

Read this carefully otherwise you will end up paying out.........

The highway police have a new tactic they are employing to catch you speeding on Highway 24 between Nang Rong & Nong Ki.......

Which ever direction you are travelling in you pass a highway police car in the centre of the road, you will notice that they are only stopping traffic travelling in the opposite direction on the other carriageway

BUT BEWARE 5km's further on you will encounter another highway police car in the centre of the road
but this time they will be stopping you.......

I've been watching them just now & believe me they are having a 'field day',stopping so many cars.....
I guess they'll be drinking Chivas instead of T later on.

They DO HAVE 2 SPEED CAMERAS........

YOU HAVE BEEN FORE-WARNED.....

You are right nookiebear. I seen them April when i went for my 90 day stamp. Centre reservation all doors open and police man watching cars in other lane. What you dont see is the police man in the car with the radar gun then down the road the red and white bollards with about 6 police getting the bahts. Good game a m8s look out.
