I was washing my car the other day near "Tawikit" supercenter on the main road, very nice manager and generally did a good job with cleaning the car, costed me 140 Baht (4 doors pickup).

In front of the car wash there is a restaurant that I think more active on night time but it was open at noon time, there I ordered "kapao gai", nice touch with the carrot coloring the kapao, first time I see kapao with carrot........ jumping8

Why do Thais eat papaya and mangoes (thanks, Dan Quayle) unripe for preference?  Some eat them ripe, but in my village I've had problems giving away ripe papaya, and I have problems keeping the mangoes on the trees until they're ready for me to eat.  I suppose it's just a matter of taste... or impatience.

Khao Mao (flattened rice & coconut).

Green rice is considered very healthy - it contains vitamin B, phosphorus and iron and Thailand give him credit for qualities that enhance their memory and alertness and even developed a way to make from it a dessert, compete with western breakfast cereals
