« on: September 05, 2008, 05:01:04 PM »
Hi friends,

Will be visiting Buri ram for first time around sept 20-21st. will be going to Khao Yai so will drive from there.Pls suggest where i can get a good driving map from the web or written guide via email would be great. how long will it take driving from khao yai to buri ram? main attraction is to see Phanom Rung so any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Is 1 day enough? will be travelling with family (2 boys, 13 and 9 years) so pls also suggest good comfortable hotel (4 star, if possible).
Thanks!

I printed a map from Google maps all the way from Bangkok to Buriram (about 40 pages). Very detailed and accurate and I never got lost once even through Bangkok.

The hotel link provided has the two hotels I was thinking about:

The Thep Nakorn Hotel is very nice and I have heard nothing but good things about it.

My second choice is the Vongthong Hotel. Construction of the Vongthong probably started before the Thep Nakorn, but it was not completed until recently due to money/investment problems. I know the Lobby is nice, but I have not heard anything about the rooms.

Would you please leave a review with us after your stay at whichever hotel you choose?
