Extension of Married Visa - the detailed requirements (in English)
« on: September 09, 2020, 03:55:10 PM »
Last year their was an official description of the new requirements for an extension of a marriage visa.
I saw it but did not take a copy at that time.
Does anyone have a copy of this document they could send to me. If so, please send as an attachment to:
com_serve@hotmail.com or tell me where I could find it.

My wife asked the Immigration official at Buriram last time I did my 90-day but helpfully the printout was all in Thai. (Intentionally I think as they do not want to spoil a good scam). My renewal is not until the end of January.

Alternatively does the bank statement have to show 40,000B every month or an average of same for the whole year??? Your help would be appreciated.

regards

Can't help you with the requirements for the 40k per month option as I am using Money in the Bank.

e.   Copy TM 6 Departure Card
f.   Copy last 90 day report
3)   Copy Yellow House Book Husband + Original
4)   Copy Marriage Certificate (Khor Ror 3) + Original
5)   NEW Marriage Certification (Khor Ror 2) obtainable from Amphur (Max. 1 day old)
6)   Copy ID Card Wife + Original
7)   Copy House Book Wife + Original
8)   Family Photos
a.   Couple sitting on Bed
b.   Couple outside with House Number clearly visible
c.   Couple sitting in Living Room
d.   Couple sitting outside House (near front door)
9)   Map to the House (Complete with GPS Coordinates)
10)   Bank Book Fixed Deposit from Bank on day of visit to Immigration
a.   Transfer min. 1000 THB to Fixed Deposit account on day of Extension
b.   Update Bank Book @Bank Branch

A technicality only but, you are not extending your visa. You are extending your permission to stay.

The list from Iammike looks good. Yellow house book not needed. Not everyone has one.

The income method must show a minimum of 40000 baht every month. An average throughout the year is not acceptable.

They may also ask for your TM30 ( registration of living at your address). If you don't have one, you may be fined 800 baht.

Yeah Good one I completely forgot, they did look for it (is stapled in my Passport) when doing the extension, but didn't want a copy

Thank you. The requirement of 49,000 every month is a lot more arduous than an average of 40,000/mth throughout the year. The way the Australian pension department acts like dictators in their own right. They deducted $100/week unilaterally for a couple of months earlier in the year which took a while to rectify (and no recompense).
