Water shortage Buriram June 2020
« on: June 23, 2020, 05:11:42 PM »
This is Mr. Bob posting for Mr. Pichai. As you are aware there is a critical water shortage currently in Buriram. Far worse than any other in decades I am told. I suspect many expats in Buriram have wells or are checking out this option. There are at least three members on Buriam expats who have prudently bought and installed over a dozen water tanks. The past five days Ruangsangthai has delivered over 200 water tanks in Buriram. More water tanks arrive each day. If you shine an ordinary flashlight at the wall of an empty tank at any store in Buriram you can see if it has proper UV lining or it might not be your first choice. Restaurants, service businesses who had postponed water tank installations now see the reason I mention a water tank and water pump to anyone building a home or opening a business in Buriram. I know that concrete water tanks are also being built in Buriram province. I do hope the water supply problem is solved soon and it is a long term solution for the citizens of Buriram. Thank you.

Here we go again. Did you post this on Thai Visa first and then cut and paste or was it the reverse of that?

Why the nice little stories? Why try to hide the fact that it is nothing more than an ad? Just come out and say it.

"Hi, I'm Bob and I'm touting for business".

Yes Gerry.  This is the same ad posted last year just before the rains started. There is no water shortage in Buriram Provence.

Tassie, can you actually prove this very same ad was posted last year and show the link.
If so, its indefensible and a blatant advert, I would then suggest with that evidence alone the person posting should be banned.
If you cant, I think the Mod should give him a warning about where to place this kind of post in future or make a charge for advertising space.

Red 1,  as you seem to be a newcomer to this forum I have on many occasions alerted the MOD about these blatant ads, so much so that I have withheld donations to help keep this forum running.
As for proof, I am not about to jump through hoops to placate your interest.  Ask the originator himself about last year ad re Buriram water shortage.

Tassie,

I am not Red 1, but in my area the lake which supplies water to the village is almost empty, and my BIL told us that the 2 lakes in our OLD village are also very low. Also must say that all around us people are cutting their rice because of the lack of water. Some fields have more grass (weeds) then rice plants.

But YMMV.

Ps: also it?s supposed to be the rainy season, but we haven?t seen any Good rain for at least 1,5 weeks now

Some parts of Buriram Provence  are waiting for more rain to plant their rice but no one buys 2000 liter water tanks to irrigate their rice fields.  Instead of sitting on the fence why not see the Rungsangthai comments by Bob as an ad? There is no water shortage in Buriram. People still drink water, water their plants and shower.  There are no Government restrictions on the use of water,

I think the decision if it?s an ad it?s not ours to make but the owners of this site.

But I agree with a previous comment about paying for an advertising space just to help this site afloat.

I'll send another email to Buriram Expats requesting a rate card. I do my best to keep discussions active on Buriram expats and I post answers to far more subjects than home building in Buriram. The water shortage is very real in many parts of Buriram. If you village has water everyday feel blessed and very fortunate. Please look at these photos posted by the Buriram Government.

Here is a shorter link to the facebook page of a Buriram Government office clearly showing the water situation in Isan District of Buriram   https://www.facebook.com/isan.buriram/

I repeat there are no water restrictions in Buriram.  Some dams may be lowered but still no government water restrictions.  The ad you posted Bob was an ad with stories attached,, virtually the same ad you used this time last year.
