Freddy, to the best of my knowledge you can't buy alcohol anymore, this is what I have been told by a wholesaler and all of the local small shops.

Normally you could buy alcohol from 11am-2pm and 5pm-11pm, I believe it was also early mornings but I forgot what times.

I thought the alcohol selling times had been reduced but as you say, seems total ban now in place. I missed that happening as don?t really drink much at home. Just thought good idea to have a case or 2 here but no drama for me if I can?t.

Is it possible that if the pandemic is proved to be false, no worse than any previous flue, that it may be disguised as a prelude to WW3?
The bankrupt USA economy is printing money at a furious pace backed by no gold as security. History tells us in times of monetary depression wars soon follow.

I heard yesterday that it is all a cunning plan by Chinese plastics companies.

Hit by the ban on single use plastic bags, they have switched production to hazmat suits, bodybags etc.

I joined the scheme some 7 years ago while attending the heart hospital in Khon Kaen and have carried my card ever since.

At that time they were happy to register me, probably as there were few joining.

Not totally altruistic - the thought of all the pretty young medical students enjoying my body had a certain appeal.

After such a long time their requirements must have changed and I'll likely be disappointed and just shoved into a bodybag with a Covid-19 tag.

The United States has set a new record for its daily mortality count, reporting just shy of 2,000 new deaths in the span of a single day, as fatalities in New York,  the country?s top hotspot, and beyond continue to mount.
While stats in recent days appeared to show deaths levelling off, the latest figures gathered by Johns Hopkins University indicate that Tuesday was the deadliest day yet in the US, with some 1,939 new fatalities. New York State has been the greatest contributor to the death toll by far, but the new data shows that deaths are also surging in other states.
New Jersey, second in the nation to New York in both cases and fatalities, reported 232 new deaths on Tuesday, according to Governor Phil Murphy, putting its total at 1,232. The state is still well behind New York?s nearly 5,500 fatalities, but with over 3,300 new cases on Tuesday, its Covid-19 outbreak is continuing apace.
The death toll in Louisiana has also been on a steady rise, seeing its own deadliest day on Tuesday with 70 patients succumbing to the lethal illness, though state officials say they are beginning to see signs that the ?curve? of new infections is flattening.
Though President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the US may soon hit the peak of its epidemic, federal authorities are nonetheless scrambling to distribute much-needed medical supplies to the hardest-hit states, with Trump vowing to have some 110,000 mechanical breathing machines ready to hand out in the coming weeks as companies like Ford and General Motors fast-track their production.

Foreigners in Thailand to receive automatic visa extensions ? official
Thailand approved a plan on Wednesday to allow all foreigners who entered legally to receive automatic visa extensions, according to a senior immigration official. The automatic visa extension has been granted until April 30, according to an Interior Ministry document. Police Lieutenant General Sompong Chingduang told Reuters the government could extend this deadline each month.

The move will prevent long queues at immigration centers and stem the spread of the coronavirus. Thailand has closed its borders and banned entry to foreigners, except diplomats and work-permit holders.

Last week, the government allowed migrant workers with expiring work permits to stay in the country, without the need to apply for extensions, until Thailand reopens its borders.

The country reported 111 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday. In total, Thailand has reported 2,369 cases of the novel coronavirus, and 30 deaths. It has declared a state of emergency until the end of the month and imposed a nationwide 10pm to 4am curfew.

The UK has seen its single sharpest increase in coronavirus-related deaths recorded over a day, pushing the country's death toll over 7,000.
Health authorities on Wednesday confirmed 828 deaths in England, along with 70 in Scotland, 33 in Wales and five in Northern Ireland.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has left the intensive care unit (ICU) of a London hospital where he was moved after his Covid-19 worsened on Monday, his office has said.
Downing Street issued a statement Thursday to say Johnson ?has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery.?

The PM was ?in extremely good spirits,? the statement added. Johnson was admitted to hospital on Sunday on the advice of his doctor, more than a week after he was diagnosed with the disease.

With models predicting that the US is nearly at the peak of its Covid-19 death rate, the country reported almost 2,000 deaths on Wednesday, about the same number as the day prior. The US accounts for about a third of all cases.

Nearly 1,800 people died in the US after contracting the coronavirus on Thursday, a tally by John Hopkins University suggests. The overall US death toll stands at just over 16,500 as it continues to lead the world in cases.
The US, which according to various projections is nearing the peak of its outbreak, registered 1,783 deaths from the virus in a single day, according to data aggregated by the university.
