I went to Korat to the Save One night markets in search of canary's and budgerigars (Parakeets).  2 shops had some birds.  No canary's a few small sickly looking budgies, many doves, dogs and cats living in filthy conditions.  I was shocked at the conditions of these animals.  It looks as though I will be going to Chatuchat  markets in Bangkok.  Let's hope that there is a wider variety of birds and that they are kept in sanitary conditions.  I really do hate it when pets are not treated with respect.
