Cardiologist recommendation please

Asking for a friend of mine.

Looking for a cardiologist recommendation in the Buriram/ Surin/ Korat area.

He is going to BKK Korat hospital but if someone knows a better(cheaper) option it would be highly appreciated.

It would be preferable if he can go visit a Doctor that is in the hospital at least a couple hours a day (and not between 12-13 and 18-19 only ) as it's a long drive from his house (if pointed to a hospital in Korat)

I have used the cardiologist at Bangkok-Korat hospital. There all day. Consultation not overly expensive, but treatment is!  For treatment, I understand Khon Kaen is cheaper.
There is a cardiologist between 12=1pm and in the evenings at Ruamphaet hospital Surin, but she  does not seem to know too much and referred me to Korat

With Khon Kaen, do you mean BKK Hospital Khon Kaen or another one ?

It's a shame really that for good treatment you have to drive all that way and nothing closer by so wondering when either BKK Hospital Buriram or Surin opens but that is just dreaming

In reference to a cardiologist and you are worried about cost and treatment and you don't have health insurance then maybe Thailand is not the place to receive treatment.
If I ever get an inkling that my ticker is in trouble I will automatically return to Australia, and get treated for free.  I think in many European countries this is the same.  I don't where you come from but if you are from the US then this suggestion may not apply.

If you had read my post carefully, you could have seen that it is not for me, but for a friend, and where in my Post did I mention NO Health Insurance? FYI, my friend HAS health insurance BUT he has to pay every thing out of his own pocket first and then declare it (strange, but that is the way it is with his insurance).

Your comment Mike that your friend needs to pay upfront, and only later claim from insurance resonates with me.

My UK Insurer will normally deal direct with the hospital, but for reasons best known to themselves, refuse point blank to deal direct with the Bangkok hospital group. No problem though to my using them, with benefits paid up to the limits I pay for.
