CALL IMMIGRATION LET IMMIGRATION TALK TO LADY SENT TO  FAT CONTROLLER WHO REFUSED BEFORE TOLD DONT DO

CALL IMMIGRATION THAI LADY TRY GIVE TEL TO F/ CONTROLLER WILL NOT SPEAK TO IMMIGRATION

GO OUT SIDE CALL IMMIGRATION TOLD US WE NOT MAKE RULES FOR PAPER FROM IMMIGRATION

 DLT TELL US WE MUST HAVE PAPER FROM THEM 

ASKED IMMIGRATION TO CALL DLT  TO FIND OUT WHY DLT WILL NOT GIVE US PAPER TO TAKE TO IMMIGRATION

FOR RESIDENCY CERT TO SELL CAR TOLD WE VERY BUSY AND IS NOT THEIR BUSINESS TO CALL DLT AND ASK WHY

ANOTHER CALL TO IMMIGRATION

 THIS TIME FERANG TAKE TEL AND PUT IN HAND OF F/ CONTROLLER AND MAKE HIM SPEAK TO IMMIGRATION

THIS TIME HE  TO TALK IMMIGRATION AND IS FED UP WITH FERANG

 SO TAKE FERANG  AND TEL TO ANOTHER LADY F/ CONTROLLER

SHE TALK TO THAI LADY AND IMMIGRATION FOR LONG TIME FERANG FED UP AND FRUSTRATED

L/ FAT CONTROLLER TOLD THAI LADY

 SHE WILL CHANGE NAME IN BOOK WITH NO RESIDENCY CERT FROM IMMIGRATION

BECAUSE SHE NOT WANT BURIRAM FERANG ANGRY WITH DLT BUT NOT TO TELL ANYONE ELSE

245 PM CAR REGISTERED WITH NEW OWNER AND WILL HAVE BURIRAM PLATES ON FROM NOW

SO IMMIGRATION NOT REALLY WANT LETTER FROM DLT

BUT TOLD THEY MUST HAVE A LETTER FROM DLT IF FERANG WANTS A RESIDENCY CERT TO SELL CAR IF IT IS IN HIS NAME

AFTER ALL THIS I CAN ONLY RECOMMEND PERSISTENCE

If you have trouble reading / writing, just ENLARGE the EDIT screen by using your Mouse Scroll Wheel and the CTRL Key. So you press the CTRL key on your keyboard and Simultaneous scroll the wheel of your mouse up, if you scroll down it zooms out

You achieved a result that I couldn't do with 2 months going around in circles. It's really a crazy system when two Govt Depts refuse to co-operate together on what is a really simple required doc for a very legitimate purpose.

I finally achieved my vehicle Blue Book rego by getting a Yellow Book from M.Buriram Amphur. DLT was happy to accept this.

Notwithstanding Geoff's success today, I truly recommend that if you want to register a car in your name from M.Buriram DLT, then a Yellow Book, or BKK embassy generated Residency Cert is advisable.

Good luck to the next expat that fronts up to DLT asking for "a letter for KCI"     

Would be interesting to know if anybody has encountered similiar problems from any other Licensing centre within the Province, or is it just M.Buriram DLT that's being obstinate with "the letter" ?

Mind you, KCI is not exactly Snow White in all this also. Can't imagine what extra info they require from DLT just to produce a Residency Cert for a farang. Judging by the amount of paperwork and copies I've submitted to KCI over the years, my file must surely be 3" thick already. Can't be too many secrets left about me that KCI don't know about ?
