I paid about 18,000 baht for the progressive lenses and frames.  Much less cost than I paid in the US.

Top Charoen Prasat. Progressive lense, tent and frames top range of lens. 43,000 baht. Thats 1350 USD. moneysmile

I had a set of specks for the price you paid and the quality stunk.

What's the tent for?

It's either a spelling mistake or American English for tint, I guess.

I really think you guys should consider going into BuriramGarnWean, as I mentioned before. I have a very good pair of glasses from them, and my daughter has too, and I paid a fraction of these amazing prices that you are quoting.

I remember being warned by a couple of Thai friends that Top Charoen were expensive, but the figures quoted here really are very steep.

...and if you really want to save yourself some money, just ask them to make the new lenses to fit your old frames. Tight, yes but then I lived in Yorkshire for 23 years.....
