Maybe they should make a copy in Thai,for the locals.
If they had common sense the death toll would be halved.

I like that bit, especially the 'can vary' bit.

At a time when Switzerland had 5 million inhabitants, they were having over 1000 road deaths a year. Extrapolating this, same as in Thailand today. A decade or two of repression, education, engineering efforts on the roads and rigorous enforcement have brought the total down to about 327 I think. It's certainly not fun driving in Switzerland, just as much white knuckle navigation as in Thailand, radar checks in tiny villages, breathalysers at 6am, strict safety checks of vehicles.
One advance I appreciated was a machine that checked the distance between vehicles on the Lausanne - Geneva motorway, accidents diminished rapidly.
