         Aussie’s Young Thai GF Makes Suicidal Leap

                                          
                A 20-year-old woman from Surin fell to her death from a15thfloor  room in a luxury condominium in Jomtien. Her Australian boyfriend said  she was drunk when they began quarreling, and she tried to hit him with a  broom. Later she jumped off the balcony.
               
PATTAYA  – December 21, 2012 [PDN]; at 2:15 a.m., a report of a Thai woman  falling to her death from a high rise condominium was received by Pol.  Lt. Col. Thailert Leupeu, investigation officer, Pattaya police station  (Dongtarn Curve sub-branch) Chonburi province.

 He went to inspect the scene with the rescue officers of  Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation. The incident occurred at the View  Talay Jomtien beach condominium project, a 28-story building near  Jomtien Beach.

 At the scene, police discovered the body of a Thai woman lying in a  pool of blood. She had hit the ground violently and her arms and neck  were broken. She was wearing only jeans and her upper torso was naked.

 She was identified as Ms. Praphaporn Pimthong, age 20, of Surin  province. Police also discovered a broom near her body that had also  fallen with the victim. An Australian foreigner was standing next to the  body and crying as he waited for police. The foreigner did not reveal  his name, and said the dead victim was his girlfriend.

  

 The Australian boyfriend told police that his girlfriend had jumped  from 15th floor balcony of room 476 where they were staying. Before her  suicidal leap, he and his girlfriend had a quarrel, and then his  girlfriend took a bottle of Bacardi to drink at the balcony.

 Meanwhile, he was working on his computer in the room. But they began  arguing again, and his girlfriend began shouting and carried the broom  to hit him. Then she later jumped to her death. The police made notes to  record for evidence, and then went to inspect in the boyfriend’s room  in detail.

 Police also questioned Mr. Niphan Boonrod, age 51, the building’s  security guard. He said that he and his friends were walking in the  sentry box when they heard the noise of something that had fallen from a  high place. So he went to check, and found the dead body lying on the  ground in a pile of blood, so he rushed to notify the police.

 The police assumed that the female victim had felt hurt after  quarreling with her boyfriend, so she decided to spite him by jumping  off the balcony.

 Police will send the corpse to perform an autopsy, and will further  investigate the foreign boyfriend about the events leading to the  victim’s death. Police will also inform her relatives.
