Non-Multi O options
« on: October 04, 2010, 05:54:31 PM »
I am currently here on a 1 yr Non-O Multi entry visa which I believe expires May '11 " must be utilised before May 25th 2011 "even though I did not enter until July this year. It was issued 6 wks prior to my intended date of arrival.

My question is if I do not intend to return to europe until August or Sept '11 does anyone know what my options are.

My last cross border 90 day run will fall around March 29th and 90 days only gives me til  late June but by then I think I will not be able to re-enter on this current visa.

Thanks guys

OK, listen to what you need to do.   wave1

You said your next border trip will be on around 29th March. on this border trip go and get your 90 days.

However, be aware of the very important fact! Your multi non 'o' is valid until May 25th 2011.

So you should do border trip again BEFORE  May 25th 2011  (Lets say May 20th 2011), this way your non 'o' is still valid and you are entitle to get additional 3 months visa to stay in Thailand.

This will allow you to stay till around~ 20th August 2011.

All this for a very low cost and using the non 'o' Multi entry which you already issued and have in your passport.

Don't miss the date. Use it!

If, for any reason, you will want to stay until September, you can always do a border run (Choeng chom, Surin Cambodia-Thailand border) which will give you 15 days.
(No limit of times to do this trip and get 15 day as for today's immigration rules).

*Arrive Thailand by Air = 30 days VOA (Visa On Arrival).
*Arrive Thailand by Land = 15 days VOA (Visa On Arrival).

If you need to stay longer you need to think about it beforehand and plan what visa you need that will allow you to stay longer time here, maybe Retirement or Marriage, read here in the forum about these kind of Visas.

If you have any further questions or clarifications needed, we are here!  spot1
