What amazes me is that the companies don't keep any records of potential customers who ask for a service. Standard response from CAT was get 4 other people in your village and we can do. TOT wanted us to get 9 others. Surely they would get much more business if they kept all the enquiry details and then married them up for different areas.
We went to the TOT office in Buriram and the girl there wouldn't even discuss it with my wife. Just said 'get 10 more' and turned her back.

I'm still crossing fingers hoping it works out. They said they do want to send the signal wifi mode to us but want to pull a cable instead. This way we get better service they say. It will be only 4-6 weeks for install!  I would rather wait a bit and have more reliable service.

Definitely better if you can get service on fibre optic rather than wi-net.
CAT originally said that we would need to wait for over a month stating that there were 200+ in front of us and they were connecting 5 new customers per day. My offer of. 1,000 baht to the connection team manager has resulted in the more prompt installation. They offered to do it tomorrow but we are at the coast until Wednesday, hence Thursday.

Back on line and seems to be working well. Took a few more days than expected due to more villagers signing up and fitters connecting all homes before switching on. I seem to be getting the 15mb as advised (quick enough for my needs) @ 890 baht per month.
The unwanted 25m tower comes down tomorrow and looks like the installation team will purchase and sell on.

party4. Glad that worked out. Still keeping my fingers crossed. 3bb came by today and picked up the applications so let's see how long it takes.

Sounds good. Hope it happens quickly for you. It's been a total pain in the arse the past month. The CAT guys have just arrived to install a relay box so I get signal to the garage and garden/pool.

Think have a speed problem on the internet :-)
Have modem TP-Link.
Been looking for documents for name of compeny but all disappered, (so is wife also at the moment :-) ) but they have Office in Satuek close to bus station.
Internet speed on Laptop and phone is not the main problem, but when watching Netflix and You-tube on the Samsung Smart TV.
"the weel" starts turning very easy and it is not fun truy to see Movies/conserts etc.
So: Any suggestions ??
Do I need to subscribe for more data ?
Is it the modem that need to be replaced??
Or is it the computer Company that have bad coverage in Tungwang/Satuek ?

I also got the suggestion about pulling out the internet during night time, then it would be faster at day time.....
Quite frankly, never heard of anything like that before and is it for real ?
(Back home in Norway stays Connected 24/7 :-)
