Does anyone know if Nissan in Buriram has a good service department? The one in Surin can't fix anything. I had my car there for a small problem, was charged 14,000 baht, and now it barely runs.Been back 2 times and each time it comes back with additional problems. They made it much worse. Once I took my car there because the AC quit cooling and their diagnosis  was it needed a new battery. The car started fine.  What Idiots. I see Nissan in Korat has only 2 stars so it's probably no better than Surin. Any info on Buriram Nissan would be appreciated.

A couple of years ago I took an older car in to have the timing set. They insisted since it was more than five years old and not compatible with their computer diagnostic equipment that they could not look at it. I insisted that they must have a timing light but no!

Thanks David. I guess they are the just as bad. I've got a Nissan March. Very undependable and the dealer's can't repair them. I would sell it but no one would buy it running as it is now.

You might be better off at B-quick. They should be able to at least diagnose the problem.

Maybe buy a tester from Lazada and test it myself. I was a certified mechanic in my younger days. I'm running out of options.

Once out of the 12 month initial warranty period, I have never bothered with main dealers.. Basic servicing I always have done in the forecourt of Makro Surin (ACT I think)  They will always advise if they spot something not correct.  For other repairs I (and others) always utilise a small local repairer in Prakhonchai

Toyota Soluna air con packed up -  Toyota wanted 8,000baht+ Local man looked, went to his store and came out with a part that was needed. 2000 baht all in..

Wifes Nissan March 2 years old no problems to date.

My 8 year old Honda City never had a problem.

 How many kilometers is on yours? My March has 107, 000 and I've replaced the electric radiator fan twice and both rear wheel bearing twice. AC fixed once. Brakes squeak every time it rains and now the surging problem they can't fix. I would use an independent shop but it's most likely a computer problem and they have the diagnostic machine. I doubt an independent would have the computer interface.

I had pretty much the same experience at Nissan Buriram, very unhelpful. The final straw came along when I took the pickup to be serviced. They had quoted one price over the phone but when we turned up it jumped by 50% because mine was an ' old pickup ' at 5 years old with 50000 kms on the clock. So I had noticed the new Nissan dealership in Nangrong and what a difference they are.  The service receptionist comes out and greets you and already has footwell paper protection, steering wheel and seat cover in her hands. Never had that in Buriram. A really good waiting room with plenty of hot and cold drinks to hand plus biscuits and cakes. I've now used them the past 2 years and would say they are really worth a visit.
