Have you seen the signs for Buriram Water Park? It is being built in Ban Yang (7 KM North of Buriram on road to the airport). It is scheduled to open next month.

Since it is less than a kilometer from me I went to check it out. Seems to me they have a lot of work ahead of them:

Been a week, here are some updated pics. I believe this park is going to be a lot smaller than the advertising suggests.

Wow, did they work hard. The water parked opened this past Friday, amazing.

I showed my camera and they let me in to take pics. Probably also because everyone in the village knows me.

But when it comes right down to it, there are 2 pools, kiddies and big kids. This is a kids park (IMHO). I think it costs 70 Baht to get in.

So you decide if it is worth visiting. BTW there are several places to take your money for food and drink. And it looks like ample parking.
