RIP Richard Morris

For those concerned :

Richard Morris from Lahansai passed away peacefully in his home around noon today.
For those who knew him : a real gentleman who turned 70 this year.
For many years he provided the expat society here with excellent bread and crusty rolls.
And when one needed solid advice he was always there.

His body will be transported to Surin Hospital today for a post mortem.

Richard was a true gentleman - and his bread was the dog's bollocks.

He will be sadly missed.

Just heard this cant believe he has passed away !! he was here on monday delivering me some freshly baked bread rolls
I didnt have the pleasure of knowing him for long but he was truly a gentlemen ,he will be missed by all

Funeral and cremation ceremony : this saturday 09 november 13.00 at the main Wat in Lahansai - in the center of the city.
This ceremony will/can take up to three hours.

Does most expats bodies are sent back to their homeland or most buried here in Thailand?
*In case no specific request of the foreigner.

if no request from the Farang (or homeland family) then cremated here.

If anyone does wish to be repatriated I recommend that they make a Will incorporating this AND tell someone in the Thai family. Once you have died they don't hang about here.
