Gary Glitter Can Travel Again As Ban Ends

Convicted paedophile Gary Glitter is free to travel again after his three-and-a-half year ban came to an end and police have no plans to renew it.
The shamed former glam rocker, real name Paul Gadd, must give notice if he intends to travel for more than three days.
Police have assessed he is no longer a threat to children, according to Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt.
Gadd is still on the sex offenders' register for life, Brunt added.
He will now get his passport back, unless it has expired.
If Gadd plans to travel abroad, police may still warn the country he is coming and he could be barred.
When asked about him, the Metropolitan Police said it can apply for new travel order "if sufficient evidence suggesting a person is likely to re-offend".
Sky sources have said Gadd is "addressing his offending".
He was given a three-year prison sentence in Vietnam in March 2006 for abusing two girls aged 10 and 11.
Gadd was deported from the country at the end of his term and flew to Thailand and Hong Kong.
When he was refused entry to both countries, he returned to the UK in August 2008 and was immediately put under a foreign travel order and has since kept a low profile.
In that time, he has opposed a couple of renewals of the order but lost out in the courts.
