New Triumph bikes for Thai market
Bangkok Post: 18 Mar 2011

New triumph models bike038

Britbike Co Ltd _ the authorised dealer of Triumph motorcycles under the management of Dom Hetrakul, Asawin Malumpuch and Aut Asawanun _ has launched two new models. Speed Triple 1050 and Tiger 800 were unveiled at a venue near the showroom on Royal City Avenue, Bangkok on Wednesday .

"After four years of establishing Triumph motorcycles in the Thai market, we have been slowly but maturely increasing our business," Dom said. "Now we have 294 Triumph motorcycles sold nationwide.

He added: "We don't want to only focus on sales growth, but we want to improve our service quality and set it to the same standard as in the UK."

The two models have proven very popular among other Triumph productions. The Speed Triple was first made 14 years ago and is still rated as one of the best motorcycles by users in Europe. The 2011 version has new key design features including a headlight which is more modern plus improvements to the chassis and suspension, which helpd bring down the weight to 214kg _ down 3 kg from the previous model. The famous 3-cylinder engine remains at 1050cc but the new design has added more power to this handsome bike.

The Tiger 800 is the most powerful in its class. A 3-cylinder engine on 800cc makes this bike fun to ride on- and off-road with smooth handling _ which is important when travelling off the road. A solid steel chassis make this bike so strong that it suits the riding style when it comes to adventures. The Tiger 800 has a built-in electrical generator to support all kinds of electronic gadget such as GPS systems. Seat height can be adjusted to three levels from 83cm down to 81 and even 79cm for riders who are not too tall.
