Just wondering who is going to buy all these mansions that western guys are building when they are dead ? Just cannot imagine some Thai coming up with Bt10m to Bt20m or more for a house. I know one in the missus' village which is so big it is mad. Everyone jokes about it now.

not surprising me with all atmosphere between thais-farang around.

if you have the money, plenty of money..... you would have build a nicer house than you have right now /if you have.

last point about thais. people tend to think thai are poor no money etc etc. but the truth is there are some very rich people living in buriram province. some of them officials and private landlords and business owners they can spend 10 millions on a house if they wish to do so . not a big deal.

Maddness, indeed! What might be considered a disturbing trend, are the prices some realtors and speculators are asking for 2-3 rai vacant parcels. Naturally, their targeted market is the Farang fool, whom will ever so willing to cough-up triple the real worth of the property.
