CAT CDMA
«

We live about 15 kilometers outside of town. We have been using CAT CDMA for a few years. Lately, the last couple of months it has been seriously deteriorating, with lots of cut offs. They claimed that they were fixing it a few months ago, but it is still working very badly at times. how is it running for you? As a matter of fact its frozen right now, and I will have to wait for it to start up again in order to make this post.

Never actually used that system.
I use GPRS/EDGE via my mobile. Speed isn't great(about 1/2 a meg/sec) but it is very reliable.
1 2 Call and DTAC can be used although I usually find 1 2 Call slightly quicker for download.
I subscribe at 105 baht for 20 hours although you can subscribe for more or less. I think about 300+ for 100 hours. The costs are based on a canlendar monthon a "use it or lose it" system. If you have enough credit on your phone then the account will be automatically topped up upon expiry. If you don't want to top up then simply call and cancel or make sure you don't have the money on your phone for the five days after expiry.
A good system for checking/writing email, forums and recreational surfing.

Thanks a lot for the response. I am going to check it out. Read the other thread on it, and my phone has WAP and GPRS, so should be able to use it without getting an extra modem.
