How to legalize abroad marriage in Thailand?

Hello there!! Hope the Weather is good and warm... here in Finland is -5 and snow level about 20cm pretty nice I should say  Do have anyone legalize abroad made marriage in Thailand and espesially Surin? Can you please share some info? A friend of my wife asking about, because she did get married in Finland and now that couple have a kid, so them need to legalize abroad Finnish marriage in Thaiiland. Thanks for answers in advance - Happy New Year anyway

I can provide details of the process for our (UK) marriage which should be similar.
Get (UK) marriage Certificate certified by Central Registrar office (in Milton Keynes).
Send to Thai Consulate (in London) to verify & stamp
In Bangkok take Certificate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to register marriage in Thailand. (Note: Submitted Marriage Cert needs to be translated into Thai & certified There are translation companies at the MFI that know the requirements but you will need to check they can translate Finnish to Thai)
Go to local Ampur to obtain a Thai Marriage Certificate
Hope that helps. Sounds complicated but was an easy process once you understood the requirements

The Thai Embassy London was closed yesterday because of the Covid19. A foreign marriage after you have translated and filled with the MFA in Bangkok You can go to your amphora and have it registered you do not get a marriage certificate. A Thai marriage does NOT need to be registered at the British Embassy.  The Thai marriage certificate is fully recognised in the UK.

Indeed.....but Pagan wrote above about registering with the Br Embassy, and for the benefit of other Brits I was advising that registration is not needed for British subjects. Finland, and other countries, may well have their own different requirements
