'prefab' wooden house sellers buriram area.
« on: September 25, 2020, 08:54:09 AM »
I want to put up a small wooden house on our rice field land.  About 3mx3m or 2 times 3x3 etc.  Nothing fancy.  I have seen these places by the road where they have some examples for sale and they take them apart (I think?) and deliver them.  Usually dark red/brown wood.  Any ideas of where one of these places might be in the Buriram area?  I have seen one near Robinsons but it seems to just have really small garden cabins.    Thanks in advance for any help.

There is a long established and large place on Hwy 24 about half way between Prahon Chai and Prassat. Coming from Prakhon Chai (about 18km) you come to Ban Phaisan. The Hwy sweeps to the right and just after the bend the factory is on the LHS. A number of completed show homes are on the opposite side of the road. Hope that helps
If you get down to visit let me know as I live nearby.

There is one on the way from Buriram to Krasang (via the 226) just past Song Chan. (Coming from Buriram they are on the left hand side and clearly visible from the 226)

We went there and asked when we started building our new house, they have different sizes. The biggest one with Toilet / Living room is around 300.000 THB, but they also have smaller.  I can get you the exact GPS location next week as we always drive past there when going shopping in Buriram

Edit: Found it through Google Maps: 14.887596, 103.235028

Well, thank you very much pagan1 and iammike.  Very useful.  Found the map ref iammike thanks.  Pagan1, is it east or west from Prakhon Chai on hwy 24 please?  I don't find a prassat town on google.

Sounds like a road trip next week.  We are on the flip side of Buriram up near Phutthaisong 90 odd km north of the city.   Have not been down that way much so it will be interesting to explore a bit.  (I did get a speeding ticket on hwy 226 on the way to Surin once, however.)

Thanks again for your help.  It will make Mum and Sister in law happy to have a replacement for the tumbled down platform currently used on the naa.

I will get you the phone number first so you don't have a wasted trip. (but will be early next week)

When my wife comes home I will ask her if she saved the phone number.

Ps: There are knock down house for sale on Lazada (one of the companies is called Panda Knockdown) maybe that is an idea??

We contacted them (again when we were building our new house) and a large one 6x4m (complete with toilet/electric etc) was around 130k exclu 12k transportation costs to Buriram and looking at their site a 3x3m is around 69k

Thanks for that.  The Pandaknockdown are a bit too 'towny' for where I plan to put the cabin.  I have seen examples that have just an exterior wood clad wall onto stud framing.  No inside wall covering so just the exterior cladding is seen from inside.  It is rice season up here, as it must be there too, and all the fields are flooded.  No access so no rush to find the right one.  Our own house is standard concrete posts and siporex (cellular cement) blocks.  Nice but not practical to haul across fields.  thanks again.

No problem.

I asked my wife and she said that the smaller sizes were approx 4x5 and price wise approx 230.000 (those don't have a toilet)

She doesn't has the phone number anymore, but either on Sunday or on Monday we will drive past there and will get you the number this to prevent a wasted trip

I have one of these small houses that I use for an office.  It has a toilet and a wash up sink.  If you would like to see it send me a PM.
